WHY mentorDINO?
We’ve Been There
We’ve experienced 3 types of burnout. It is not easy but learning about burnout, steps to help, and learning about yourself can help not only you but also your team!
There’s No One Like Us
Coaches SPECIFIC to AEC professionals is hard to find, ESPECIALLY those in the early to mid-stages of their careers. This is our specialty.
Essential Support for AEC Firms
All AEC firms, regardless of size, need help training their young professionals. Our industry is complex, time is limited, and the need for support is greater than ever. We are here to help fill in the training gaps!
We are your GUIDE to success
It is impossible to be an expert in EVERYTHING within the AEC industry. That is why we FIND the experts to help teach and share experiences to everyone.
There’s Only So Much Time in a Day
Experienced staff often juggle heavy project workloads while also being expected to train and mentor. This strains resources and limits the time available for effective training. Let us take it off your plate! If you elevate everyone then you can get time back in your day and more time with family.
Accessible Pricing
Career coaches can be expensive—I’ve experienced this firsthand. It takes the time to look up information and question its accuracy which effects project budgets and productivity. mentorDINO is designed with affordability in mind, making our services accessible to all.

BEFORE you go,
I just wanted to check in on YOU.
Licensure can get the final step in your education process. But now there is a big ocean in front of you. There is no guide anymore. Nobody to tell you what to do next. It can be overwhelming to figure out your next steps, what do you ACTUALLY want to do, how to make goals, and how to continue to discover yourself.Â
You are in back to back to back meetings every day. You have no time to delegate, learn, or have an evening of rest. You are overwhelmed with your workload because you don’t even have time to get your own tasks done. This does NOT have to be your life. No matter how much leadership may say others. You can be a powerhouse architect, engineer, or designer AND have a life.
STOP grinding away. You nights and weekends should be inspiration for your work not doing work. It is time to be with family, loved ones, and friends to experience life. It is time to do hobbies, create, and get away from a computer! There is no trophy for working all weekend, staying up all night, or missing your child’s soccer game.Â
Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and perfectionism plagues design teams. Get promoted too fast? Feel like you are skipping steps? Taking on leadership roles on teams before you feel confident. That is the SINK OR SWIM mentality of the industry.  Someone is going to discover you have no idea what you are doing. Someone is going to ask you a question that you are clueless. You CAN NOT know everything. There is NO PERFECT document set. You ARE learning every day and improving. YOU GOT THIS!
Okay maybe you have the confidence with details, constructability, and your own work ethic. But now you are leading a team. How do you teach them? What if they don’t learn the same way you do? What if they have different strengths? How do you build trust so you can push them to be better? What if you are not a good manager?
